K-Cups Generating Significant Waste |

Last week an article in the New York Times poked a little "jab" on Green Mountain and their non-biodegradable Kcups. The Times quotes
"More than 80 percent of Green Mountain’s $803 million in sales last year came from nonrecyclable, nonbiodegradable, single-use coffee pods and their brewing systems. This year, the company expects to sell nearly three billion K-Cups, the plastic and tinfoil pods that are made to be thrown away — filter, grounds and all — after one use."
That is a lot of waste. Green Mountain has had a history of being a eco-friendly company, but now that is coming into question with the surging sales of Keurig K cups. Until Green Mountain fixes this problem there are ways that we a consumers can be environmental friendly with our Kcups. Here are a couple of ways. 1) Reuse your C Kups 2) Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter Let us know if there are other ways that you use to be more environmentally friendly with your Kcups.

Green Mountain Adds Two New Iced Tea K Cups |

Green Mountain has announced that they are adding two new Iced Tea K-cups . The two new flavors are Sweet Berry Lime Green Iced Tea and Sweet Tropical Breeze White Iced Tea. Sweet Berry Lime Green Iced Tea is a fusion of smooth green tea, sweet juicy berry flavor, and a potent splash of lime.
Sweet Tropical Breeze White is a white tea with flavors like passion fruit and papaya. Fresh brewed Iced Tea is always very popular in the summer time, so look for these two new flavors on the shelf soon. You can purchase them from Green Mountain's Website:
